Keima Katsuragi is an avid galge gamer known at his school as "Otamega" (a derogatory term combining the words Otaku and Megane) and on the internet a "The Capturing God." One day he receives an e-mail offering him a contract to "capture" girls. He accepts thinking it's a challenge and a demon from Hell named Elsee appears. She asks for his help in capturing runaway spirits that are hiding in "real" girls. He refuses stating he only like the girls from the game and she tells him that if he refuses then both of their heads will be cut off. |

This anime is not suitable for someone who expect ecchi or harem because it doesn't has any ecchi nor harem.
The story of this anime is just like toilet paper being used, get dirtied, dump into toilet bowl and then flush away.

This is one of my favorite anime/manga series of all time. The concept is very interesting and the series is overall is very entertaining. I love the main character and personally believe he should be the universal mascot for "otaku," but I think the thing I love most about this series is how different it is from other romantic comedies. Rather than showing comical situations involving half-naked girls every five minutes like most other anime in that genre, TWGOK manages to make me laugh without all the "ecchi" which I think is a great accomplishment ( read more)
This is one of my favorite anime/manga series of all time. The concept is very interesting and the series is overall is very entertaining. I love the main character and personally believe he should be the universal mascot for "otaku," but I think the thing I love most about this series is how different it is from other romantic comedies. Rather than showing comical situations involving half-naked girls every five minutes like most other anime in that genre, TWGOK manages to make me laugh without all the "ecchi" which I think is a great accomplishment on the creator's part and deserves praise. I won't say the anime is perfect, since it was so short and the last episode was a pointless filler episode, but I am overjoyed that there is going to be a second season and I really hope it gets as far as the manga currently is, which would probably take a third or fourth season based on the first. I highly recomend this to everyone, especially the manga which does a little better developing the characters. At the very least, read the manga. The funniest parts are past where the anime currently is and right now the plot is getting really intense. ( show less)
